Muromachi Shuzo (brewery) was established in 1688, with over 330 years of history, endeavored the philosophy of making sake using Cold Spring Water (listed in Japan's Top 100 remarkable water) with the best sake rice "Omachi" produced locally in Akaiwa.
The brewery has earned recognition worldwide through various competitions with the highest marks Monde Selection in Belgium, the IWSC in the UK, and the BTI in the United States. Omachi rice was discovered over 150 years ago, produce sake with a particularly delicious flavor.

Tasting Notes
Named after Master Hajime Sakon, an originator of the sake specialty rice Omachi Rice. This exquisite Junmai Ginjo sake was made with pure spring water, brewed with the popular "Nagano Alps Yeast". As a result of these superb ingredients, Sakon has a full body, mellow aroma, and rich Umami taste. Serve it chilled and it goes marvelously with seafood, especially white fish
