Spectacularly located on the edge of Lake Dunstan, Misha’s Vineyard is in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago - the Pinot Noir capital of New Zealand. The sun drenched north-west facing terraces of the 57 hectare (140 acre) single vineyard estate provide optimal conditions for producing world-class Pinot Noir and aromatic whites. The range of wines includes Pinot Noir (at 4 levels), Pinot Rosé, an off-dry and medium-dry Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and a Late Harvest Gewürztraminer. The estate was established by Andy and Misha Wilkinson with a "no compromise' philosophy which drives all aspects of the Misha’s Vineyard company. The wines have been crafted from the outset by Olly Masters – one of New Zealand’s most talented and recognised winemakers. Misha’s Vineyard wines have achieved acclaim and top ratings from wine reviewers and critics globally including being named as one of New Zealand's Top 20 Wine Producers by the esteemed Decanter (UK) magazine. The wines have also represented New Zealand as the best of their variety in various international tastings and events including being named in the Top 100 Wines of the World at the London International Wine Fair as well as Icon Wines of the World events with Robert Parker/The Wine Advocate. For the past four years Misha’s Vineyard has been recognised in the Fine Wines of New Zealand - recognising the country’s most prestigious wines based on stringent criteria including provenance and winemaking excellence over many years. This list is determined by seven Masters of Wine and a Master Sommelier, under the patronage of Air New Zealand. Also leading New Zealand wine critic Michael Cooper and author of Buyer’s Guide to New Zealand Wines 2020, has classified 4 of Misha’s Vineyard wines as “Classic” Wines of New Zealand. With an 11,000-case (130,000 bottle) production, the range of super premium Misha’s Vineyard wines are generally found in luxury hotels, lodges and restaurants as well as independent wine merchants across New Zealand as well as being exported to over 14 countries predominantly across the Asia Pacific region.
